Last chance to submit a paper to DTMD 2013

The extended deadline for submitting abstracts to The Difference That Makes a Difference 2013: An interdisciplinary workshop on Information: Space, Time, and Identity is this Friday: 1st February.

We have received a good range of fascinating presentations, but there's still room for a few more, and we would especially welcome presentations addressing the theme of Session 2: Information and Time:
This session will be devoted to exploring topics such as: the changing nature of the notion of information, including the history of information-theoretical concepts; the effect of implicit or explicit understanding of the concept of information on the human experience of time; the application of information theory to dynamic systems; and a critical evaluation of the changing experience and understanding of the ‘information revolution’.

Other questions relate to the notion of time as a 'dimension' in information – physics, entropy, information and ‘the arrow of time’; as well as to semiotic considerations of information transmission through time as well as through space.
One page abstracts should be sent to abstracts@dtmd.org.uk. (See the Call for Papers).
